Why do so many people find it virtually impossible

Why do so many people find it virtually impossible to lose a significant amount of weight and keep it off?

Most women I spoke to during the past 5 years had been on a diet within the previous one to four years.

After coaching many of these women toward their health goals, it’s become apparent to me that they started out by focusing on their diets alone.

But I quickly realised that it wasn’t what was on their plates which most urgently needed to change.

To resolve their challenges for good, they’d need to start with their minds.

This year has stretched me in so many ways.

In some ways my kids' temperaments are very different to mine, in other ways we are too much alike 🙈

I've had to grow and learn so much since my daughter was born.

One of the healthy habits I turn to for stress relief and calming my mind, is grounding.

I'm so happy that we are going into warmer weather soon.

I LOVE walking barefoot all the time, feeling my weight heavy on the earth, the different textures on my soles, the sun on my skin.

This is one habit that's always helped me calm down and release tension during those meltdown moments - my kids' AND my own 😁

#2monthspostpartum Building a business while caring for an infant can be tough. Even more so when you have a feisty 5 year old to raise as well!

Luckily I've learnt a lot the past few years about how to be kinder to myself while making the most of each day.

Before I ever help another woman (mother or not) to build a thriving life, I start with me.
I'm super excited about supporting and guiding more women this year, so they can learn how to maximize every day, without burning out, constant exhaustion, or regret about what they missed out on.

(Im)patiently waiting for this little girl. 35 Weeks and counting.

I'm finally getting control of the insomnia that's had me totally exhausted the past few weeks.

We are so excited to welcome this little miss to the family.

In the meantime I've been quietly working on the beta phase of a new monthly subscription within my Life Coaching business. I've received some amazing feedback so far, I can't wait to launch it in January ❤️🎉 More tidbits and info on that coming shortly!

20 Weeks today and starting to prepare my mind and body for birth.

For me this means: - daily breathing and relaxation exercises - stretches for flexibility, hip openers, and releasing tense muscles... One in my left glute has been very sore every time I take a walk - daily yoga and squats for fitness, deep breathing, relaxation, and to tone important muscles in my lower body - increasing my intake of fresh water, fruits, fibre, plant fats, and plant proteins - prayers for a peaceful and positive birth experience

How did/do you prepare for birth?

Little one has been kicking up a storm, and the Braxton Hicks practice contractions have been coming on every day from about 12 weeks, getting rather intense almost every evening the past two weeks.

I am expecting this one to be around 2 weeks early, just like big brother was.
